Responsibilities
Mailroom responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Mail Clerk Tasks:
  • Perform general office activities, such as typing, answering telephones, operating office machines, scanning, copying. processing mail, or securing confidential materials.
  • Data Entry tasks
  • Be assigned a group of team members whom work remotely; you will be responsible for sending out their outgoing mail
  • You will be handling checks on a daily basis; printing, mailing them out, and making sure copies of check stubs are sent to the appropriate team members.
  • Receive and sort incoming mail, prepare mail for courier pickup or personal delivery.
  • We are paperless, so all of our incoming mail will need to be scanned and electronically filed within the SharePoint program. Accuracy and attention to detail is a must.
  • You will be receiving documents on CD-ROMs, and will need to download files in order to file them electronically.
  • You will communicate with your assigned team members via email, instant messaging and possibly phone call.
  • You will be reviewing all outgoing mail for accuracy, and communicating with members of management/supervisors when errors are found. Maintain and monitor postage meter; apply proper postage to all outgoing envelopes utilizing postage meter
  • Gather specific mail that will be mailed other law firms on a weekly basis.
  • During downtime, will be logging in documentation received via faxes or virtually.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience with Outlook, SharePoint preferred
