We are looking for a Mail Clerk in Providence, Rhode Island. The person in this position is responsible for basic mailroom processing tasks, in person customer service and telephone customer service. We offer benefits. If this sounds like a great fit, apply today!
Responsibilities
Mailroom responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Mail Clerk Tasks:
  • Perform general office activities, such as typing, answering telephones, operating office machines, scanning, copying. processing mail, or securing confidential materials.
  • Data entry tasks such as notes when you call a client, leave a message or send out a piece of mail.
  • Be assigned a group of team members whom work remotely; you will be responsible for sending out their outgoing mail, all outgoing mail must be tracked in the case management software and noted appropriately.
  • Be assigned a group of team members whom work remotely; you will be responsible for scanning, assigning and noting their incoming mail.
  • Receive and sort incoming mail, prepare mail for courier pickup or personal delivery.
  • You will be calling clients to set up appointments to pick up their settlement checks.
  • You will process files on to CD’s, USBs or paper files for delivery to other law firms and clients.
  • You will be reviewing all outgoing mail for accuracy, and communicating with members of management/supervisors when errors are found. Maintain and monitor postage meter; apply proper postage to all outgoing envelopes utilizing postage meter.
  • You will be responsible for incoming faxes, assigning faxes to the correct team members and adding documents to the appropriate cases.
  • Additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Experience with Outlook, SharePoint preferred but not required
